Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Alsaud of Kingdom Holding Co. plans the world’s tallest building – at 1 mile high – in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The building is to be called Burj Al-Meel ( Mile Tower), and appropriately enough, rents are expected to be sky-high. The project has been announced in september and the cost of the project is estimated to be $14.67 billion. The project is designed by Picard chilton.Kingdom Holding Co said the Kingdom Tower project would stand more than a kilometre high and, along with Kingdom City, would cover 7.1 square kilometres in the Red Sea city of Jeddah.The built-up area will include multi-purpose facilities including residential, entertainment, retail and hotels.Kingdom City is expected to house 80,000 residents and accommodate 250,000 visitors.
